Predilnica Litija d.o.o. started with the implementation of the project “Increasing Spinning Capacities” on January 1, 2023. The project will increase spinning and rewinding capacities of the mill. The implementation of the project will allow the company a graduate transition to 3- shift working schedule for production, which will make the working hours  friendlier to employees and preserve the quantitative range produced to meet the needs of customers and to preserve jobs. At the same time, the investment will have a positive impact on the company’s operations from the aspects of sustainable management, digitalisation and robotization.

The project includes the construction of an extension to the existing production facility, the relocation of the packaging line to the new extension and the installation of additional new spinning and winding machines as well as packaging robots.


The project “Increasing Spinning Capacities” is co-financed by the European Union – NextGenerationEU. It is part of the Recovery and Resilience Plan, financed by the Recovery and Resilience Facility as part of Europe’s recovery and resilience package NextGenerationEU.

The project was awarded a subsidy as part of the Public Call for Promotion of Large Investments for Greater Productivity and Competitiveness in the Republic of Slovenia (JR INVEST2022-NOO).
